Well, it was very nice out, extra sunny and hot, and the library lawn was full of knitters and treats. What more could you ask for? Naked bike riders? Well, we had that too!
I don’t think I ever blogged about these. I made these for my friend Julie and her wife. Casey works outside a lot, and she used to be a drag king here in Hali, so I made her the moustache one. Once I was done, and still had plenty of yarn left, I decided to make Julie one too, only girlie.
They were fun projects! The moustache one is from the winter issue of Knitty. For the lips, I followed the same basic pattern and then just did the duplicate stitching freehand.
Not that I have a million viewers tuning in to my little blog here, but I feel guilty nonetheless that I have neglected you, my poor blog. School was very hectic this year, and I also had to work part time AND freelance just to get through the year. But now that is all over with! Huzzuh!
I am finished work term, I graduate “officially” next week, and I have a contract with an online company to work from home! Training to start shortly!
In knitting news, I have been plugging away at all kinds of baby stuff. Seems everyone is copulating and reproducing lately, so I have many demands on my knitting as far as that stuff goes. I am also working out more and losing some weight, so hopefully by the end of the summer and this baby craze I can start on some cute smaller tops for myself! Yay! Selfish knitting!
Well, that’s about it! There are millions of little stories and things I could have told you if I had of just been on the ball and updated. Now they are lost forever. Boo
Well, Christmas is coming up fast and not only am I broke and busy with school and work, but I have a tonne of x-mas presents to get knitted up! Add to that the fact that I have sooo many things I want to knit for myself and no sweaters to keep me warm this season, and it is kind of daunting.
So far for x-mas I am planning at least 1 pair of socks(for my MIL), some baby stuff for Samuel, a hat and scarf for my daddy because he asked for them (almost done the hat now! hurrah!), and I have a few other ideas floating around in my little head. I think I can get this stuff done, it’s just a matter of what else will come up between now and x-mas. The good thing is that once I go home for x-mas all knitting is for ME! woo! Annnnnnd Tangled Skeins always has a great sale for boxing day, so I can get me some sweater yarn and make myself some sweet sweaters!
That’s right-I saw Blondie, LIVE. From about 10 feet away!!!!!!! Too exciting! I think that is definitely my fav concert I’ve been to-probably because I’ve loved her for so long and I had great company for it. My friends Keith and Krista came to town, minus my little buddy Samuel, and we went to eat at Elephant and Castle and then popped over to the Casino for the show. It was great-we all had an awesome time

So last night I went to another concert. This time it was Lamb of God and Gwar. I’m not much of a metalhead anymore, but my man is so we got pre-sale tickets a few months ago. Of course, at the time, I didn’t realize I would have an 8:30 am test in Medical Terminology class, but what are ya gonna do? I ended up staying at the back with my friend Jen all night as neither of us cared about being close or wanted to be in the sea of people flipping out. It was a fun show, though! Lots of crazies around! ha ha ha ha I think tonight’s Blondie concert will be more my speed!
I DID, however, discover that they had wine on their alcohol list and I am sure I was the only one drinking it. I may have gotten a leeeeeetle bit drunk
ha ha ha ha ha
The beginning of September, during my first few days at school, were spent helping Cadence renovate her expanded store space over at Pretty Things Boutique. We took a gross colored bathroom and back room and turned them into pink loveliness. I haven’t been in since the couch and change rooms were put in, but it looks amazing!
